#indytweetsgiving

It always amazes me how this time of year can bring us (well, most of us) back into focus to remember what's truly important. I always hear someone say, "Why can't we be thankful for what we have all year around? Why do we only acknowledge this during the holidays?" Well, life gets in the way, so we all need a sign to bring our attention back to what we should be focusing on. The holidays are our sign.

I am truly grateful to God for giving me Ryan, my partner in life. He is everything to me, and more than I ever could have asked for. God must really love me; he led me to a person who would change me for the absolute better. We've been through so much together, and we always end up stronger for it. I continue to hope that our wedding day was the least happy we'll ever be. That means it's only up from there :)

God has also blessed me with some amazing opportunities over the past few months. I've joined the Indy Tastecasting group, which has helped me develop my love and respect for the power of social media. There are some wonderful people associated with this group, and I'm so happy to have met them as well. My United Way experience was life-changing in many ways - I came out of my shell; I saw the world in a completely different light; I met the most amazing friends; I am much more confident in my abilities as a professional. Another friend I've been led to is Julie - a trainer and BeachBody coach. I am amazed at her ability to inspire and transform others. I hope - no, I will be - one of them.

We should always be thankful and grateful for the gifts, opportunities, friends and especially family we are given. But during the holidays, those gifts seem to become clear. I am continually grateful for what/who I've been blessed with and I will strive to make myself a better person to "pay back" what they've given me.
