A whole new experience

This entire pregnancy experience is one of the most intense emotional experiences I've ever encountered.  After awhile you just get use to the different symptoms and feeling tired all the time. Believe me, that is not my favorite part. But once you start to feel those little flutters of movement, your heart grows by leaps and bounds and the symptoms become all worth it. Then the nervousness and uncertainty of your and your child's future becomes the center of your attention.

How do I know that the baby is healthy, other than hearing the heart beat every 4 weeks and feeling little kicks? Is there anything "wrong" with the baby that I need to be aware of? Am I taking care of him/her the best I can? Are Ryan and I ready to be 100% responsible for a life? That's pretty intense.

I don't have much more to share other than we're all still doing well, enjoying the weather and taking as many naps as possible. This next Monday we find out if we're having a boy or a girl. My gut tells me it's a girl (I'm nervous I'm wrong). We can't wait to start buying some things for our baby. Really, we're excited for our parents to start buying the baby clothes and toys. :)

When we get pictures of the ultrasound next week, I'll post to show if it's a boy or girl.
