And baby makes three

After what seemed like an eternity waiting for our little bundle of joy to arrive, I am now sitting at home typing this post with one hand while Claire Renee Thomas sleeps in my lap.

I'm not going to go into the labor and delivery details - my guess is you really don't want to know. I will say that we went past our due date by 4 days and ended up being induced. Ryan and I went to the hospital Sunday night and were able to watch the Colts v Giants game in our hospital room. Then Monday the fun began. Let's just say the anesthesiologist became my best friend.

We did have the absolute best L & D nurse ever. Jan was very sweet, supportive, honest and extremely helpful in every way. There will forever be a place in my heart for Jan; she coached me through the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.

Long story short, Claire joined us on Monday September 20th, 2010 at 7:46pm. She weighed 8lbs 5oz and 22 1/4 inches long. She was healthy and hungry from the very beginning.
