After a very long, intensive week with the United Way, it is finally the weekend! This week of training has been great, as was spending today volunteering at the Boy Scouts camp painting. I've learned so much over the past week, but I'm worried I won't effectively relay what I've learned to others. I am scheduled to give my speech on Monday morning and I'm a little nervous about that - I know it will be fine, but the unknown is always nerve-wracking.
Meeting the people I have met this week has been amazing. Everyone has a different story, but in many ways we are very much the same. I truly believe that God is leading me down a path to better myself and meet people who will impact my life in one way or another. I want to remember this when I go out to meet more people over the next 11 months with United Way. Everything happens for a reason, and we are led to meet people for a specific reason, whether we know that reason or not.
Awesome...and you are so right...this is a journey that is going to influence you and so you will influence others...but what's with 11 months? I only promised 3...HAHAHAHA, just kidding you...you know I ALWAYS want what is best for you...
