Change is good

I have my first meeting with a campaign account tomorrow and I'm really excited to begin this part of my role as a loaned executive. Really all I'll be doing is helping a company put their campaign together and offer whatever assistance I can to them. It's a great feeling to be helping out our community in this way. I've read some discouraging perspectives on United Way lately, and I want all of you to know that most of what's out their is false. The United Way of Central Indiana is fiscally conservative, offers a wide array of support to partnering agencies as well as creating programs focused on child education, and operates with strict ethical standards. I spent yesterday at Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center setting up for a food drive. The people at Mary Rigg were so appreciative of United Way and its volunteers. This organization supports agencies that literally change peoples' lives. How can you not support something like that?
