Thursday night was our second week of meeting at Scotty's Brewhouse downtown location (http://www.scottysbrewhouse.com/) for our new weekly tradition. What could be better than drinks, fried dill chips and friends? Seriously, not much. Well, this one was extra special because Ryan and I had just celebrated our 3rd anniversary the day before - September 23rd (aaw, memories). I also see this as an opportunity to meet new people. Not just Ryan and I, but all of our friends and coworkers. We want you to join us! Ryan and I are pretty laid back people who love to relax and have fun. If you want to come join us, we're all for that. It's all about laughing, living life, eating good food, and drinking good beer, right?
So, here's the group from 9/24/09 - looks like fun, right? Started off the night with the dill chips (cannot go to Scotty's and not get the dill chips). Each of us ordered beer - Thursday nights are $2.50 pints. I always have a hard time ordering dinner at Scotty's; everything sounds so good, it's hard to narrow it down. Ryan and I have been sharing, so we usually go with a sandwich. But someone very familiar with the restaurant suggested I try the buffalo chicken wrap - which I'll do next week. A few other people choose the burrito (HUGE) and the mo'fo' cluck wrap = super crazy hot. Food is good, and reminds us all of college (IU or Purdue)...we'll always love that. For an anniversary gift, Scotty's gave Ryan and I a free dessert. Now, if you've been to Scotty's you've no doubt seen or heard about the Cookie Monster. As the name suggests, the thing is a monster. Well, our waitress informed us we could use our free dessert for any of the desserts. Hello - we're getting the Cookie Monster, please. Take a look at this thing. It's a dessert lover's dream. Decedent, beautiful, full of sweetness with that homemade feel. There were eight of us at the table - it took eight of us to take this down. How can you not love this? By the way, if you're interested in a dessert, but not to this magnitude, take my word for it and order the Slater's a Butter Cup for $2. It's awesome.
If you're interested in meeting us at Scotty's sometime, let me know! We'd love to see you there and learn more about you! It's such a great time, you'll want to make it a weekly ritual.
Have a great weekend!

thanks for all the kind words, pictures and write up in your blog. happy anniversary, again. -scotty
