Well, so much for my amazing weekend :(
On Friday, I went to a Meijer meeting in the morning - which went very well. However, I could tell that a migraine was on it's way to ruin my day. I tried to make it through a meeting back at United Way, but that just didn't work out. If you get migraines, you know how difficult it is to try to look at small fonts and concentrate - it just wasn't going to happen. So I had to bail on the Community Fair on the circle. I was not happy about this at all. I was really looking forward to being a part of that event, and meeting new people. Instead I went home and slept until 4:30. Since I couldn't sleep much that niight, I ended up watching the Sex and the City movie and He's Just Not That Into You (hello Bradley Cooper).
Saturday morning I woke up all refreshed and ready to conquer the world. That lasted about 15 minutes. I cleaned some, ran some errands, took a nap and was ready to go to Penrod, but those plans had to be scratched. So I ended up staying home and watching Marley and Me instead - and cried my eyes out (thankfully, no headache insued).
Sunday was Colts day - and I made the absolute best of it. This was, by far, the best day of the weekend. Except for the pounding headache around 7pm... but we had a blast with Mike and Brandy. Wish we could see them more often, we all just seem to click fairly well. Fun times as rookie season ticket holders!
After a day of sleeping on the couch today and basically hacking up a lung, I'm now looking forward to some interesting meetings scheduled in the next few days for the United Way. I hope they go well! And I will be volunteering Wednesday night at Step Out in Style, Dress for Success's annual fundraiser at the Marriott Downtown with the diamond dig! Very excited to see what this night holds. Should be able to meet some great women.
And hopefully I'll see many of you at Scotty's downtown location on Thursday night!
Hang in there Jessica with the migraines. I'm sorry you have to deal with that!
ReplyDeleteMigraines do suck. Luckily I've only had them very rarely but when I do I'm laid up completely unable to function.
