Anderson Ochard - Pleasant View

What a beautiful fall day! This is my favorite time of year: crisp, clean air, apple cider, orchards, pumpkins, bon fires. Today was the perfect fall day for Ryan and I. After a morning filled with chores and work, we decided to spend the afternoon at Anderson Orchards, not too far from our house. I love it here! We walked through the orchard, just taking in the scenery and enjoying the sun.

Then we went shopping: a peck of Jonagold apples (my favorite!!), apple cider, butternut squash, small pumpkins, Indiana sweet corn, apple cider slush (so much better than it sounds), and apple cobbler with ice cream.  The apple cobbler is homemade, and they serve it straight out of the oven - absolutely amazing!

The place was packed with all sorts of people, but mostly families and couples. Many of the families with small children were taking hay rides through the orchard. If you have not made the journey to Anderson Orchards just east of Indianapolis in Pleasant View, you need to. Ryan and I had the perfect afternoon; one of those days you can't help but smile.
